Unit NotesUnit Wound Care # Patients/Day Treated Minimum 5- 15 depends on the day/ new consults Ratios 3-4 other RN in this role Required Certifications BLS, CWON (certified wound ostomy nurse) and WA RN Common diagnoses/Types of wounds "Ostomies and/or draining wounds or fistulas about 25% pressure, vascular, arterial and diabetic ulcerations as well as skin conditions resulting from incontinence, surgical procedures and/or trauma, skin/tissue integrity, altered continence, wound vacs" Common duties Manages and coordinates patient care/wound management in consults and recommendations, accordance with established standards, defined timelines and overall plan of care, documentation and billing, discharge for supplies, identification, assessment, prevention and continuing education, interdisciplinary collaboration, do provide a phone for photo documentation Experience or 'Must have' skills CWON certification, no previous travel experience required What are the primary areas of hospital that they cover? SJMC- inpatient wound care for St Clare, St Elizabeth, St Frances, St Anthony and St Anne Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) M-F 8-5 Weekend Requirements None Holiday Requirements None Is there a call or standby requirement?
