We. Are. OneStaff.
Be Bold. Travel. Enjoy Work More. Be OSM (pronounced “awesome”).
Tell us a little bit about the history of OneStaff. What should the general public and the healthcare community know?
Be Bold. Travel. Enjoy Work More & Let Us Help. That sums it up. OneStaff Medical has over a decade of experience connecting highly-talented RN, LPN, CNA, and Allied health travelers to the right facilities in the perfect location. We are consistently honored to be on the “Inc. 5000 list of America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies” for over 7 years now, named one of Staffing Industry Analyst’s “Best Staffing Firms to Work For” multiple times, as well as a proudly certified minority-owned business. We have dedicated departments that specialize in onboarding Nursing, Allied and Long-Term Care to ensure we are always offering our top-quality, talented candidates (their) ideal assignments. From onboarding and traveling to your assignment for day one, to the last shift you work, our promise is to be a dedicated partner, for you, throughout the process. We’re here to have your back. No automated support calls. Just real people, 24/7. We take great pride in building relationships with our traveling professionals, and enjoy hearing/ sharing their experiences with their healthcare peers. This industry is a lifestyle, and we embrace that wanderlust with our own passion to help you navigate your travel adventures in the best way possible. Born of midwestern work ethic, we’re here to be your steadfast partner on any assignment you can dream of. Whatever the need, we are here to help along the entire journey.
We’re small enough (read “independently-owned”) to allow us to be flexible to work through your “dream assignment” needs or overcome the inevitable obstacles that arise. While still being large, networked (and experienced) enough to bring you all of the best locations with top-pay. Ready to elevate your travel job experience? Let’s dance!
We. Are. OneStaff.
Please describe the leadership team, their goals, and the overall culture over at OneStaff?
OneStaff is a proudly independently-owned, Midwestern-born, agency built on its people (both internal and our travelers). We are owned by two long-time friends, who saw an opportunity to bring a higher level of partnership to the travel healthcare industry. Both, our goals and culture, are centered around making us an approachable agency, and keeping our travelers’ needs the focus. Work smarter. Play harder. A family dynamic, if you will. Having the insight to know when the travelers stay happy, and are finding their dream assignments (while feeling fully-supported throughout the process) they become loyal fans and feel just as much part of OneStaff’s success, as our internal employees. That’s the vision we hope to keep, no matter how successful we become.
Who should be utilizing OneStaff?
Any RN, LPN, CNA, and Allied health travelers wanting a personable travel experience. We’re realistic enough to know we’re not the only guys out there, nowhere near the largest, or always the highest-paying agency, but we will ensure the experience is personable and we do anything we can to elevate it for the traveler.
How is OneStaff unique in the healthcare space? Why should clinicians choose to work with you?
Our (approachable) family feel. We know we are all most successful when it’s a win-win. This industry is like dating. You need to find the (agency) partner that is the best fit for you, your needs, and goals. No one wants to feel like a number in any relationship. Money isn’t always the only factor in happiness. We want to genuinely find our travelers that balance between dream location, top-pay, and fully supporting them throughout the entire process (not just until they start the assignment and ghost). You want to feel like an equal partner in any healthy relationship. That’s when both traveler and agency can win. Finding, and fostering those partnerships, with the right travelers gives us all the feels.
What are the goals for OneStaff in 2021?
To continue to have the employee-first attitude, and keep growing organically through that approachable mindset. Keep searching for new ways to help facilitate those dream assignments, and make things as easy as possible for all of our travelers. Whether that’s continuing to grow the number of top-paying jobs we offer at facilities across the country, developing new ways to foster positive partnerships, or streamline efficiencies in the onboarding process. Veteran traveler, or first assignment, we want to build on how the traveler-agency relationship works and continue to evolve it. Our mission is to always push forward in our quest to make the industry a better place.
Please tell us about any special offers or programs OneStaff offers.
We created a first-of-its-kind partnership with FIGS (scrubs) for our loyal travelers. Goal was to find something relevant, but unique, to gift them after taking multiple assignments with us. We do what we can to welcome new travelers, or acknowledge their birthdays while on assignment and away from family. Obviously, the typical, like referral bonuses, and all the usual suspects, as far as 401K and benefits.
How can Wanderly be a partner to OneStaff within your daily operations and long-term industry goals?
We’re excited to begin the relationship with Wanderly, and find more great talent for the facilities we partner with. If Wanderly’s reputation precedes them, the caliber of the candidates on the platform can only help us more efficiently and quickly fill the roles we have open around the country. Working with Wanderly will be an obvious win-win-win for all. We love those types of partnerships. That’s what it’s all about.
Why are the traveling clinicians important in the day to day at OneStaff?
We’re all here, because of the needs they fill across the country. Without them, none of us would have a purpose. Period.
Anything else to add?
Much love to all of the front-line workers, and how they’ve been so steadfast through all of the additional stress they’ve been put under this past year, with no true end of the pandemic still in sight. You. Are. All. Appreciated.
