Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Cincinnati, OH, MedUS has quickly grown becoming a travel company servicing clients nationwide. Our clients prefer us because, like our motto says, “better people better outcomes”. We focus on who makes up our team because we know the individuals we bring in make a difference in the outcomes we produce. Our travel nurses love us because “We Make it Happen”. Our goal is to be 100% accessible and 100% responsive.
What should travelers know about Med US Healthcare
At MedUS we put our travelers above anything and everything. We are 100% dedicated to our travelers. We do not see travelers as a number. We see them as the great healthcare professional they are and the individuality that comes with them. Our goal is to create a positive relationship between the healthcare professional and the recruiter which can sometimes be life long. In addition, we are there every step of the way and completely transparent. We believe transparency is key to a beneficial relationship. We want no secrets within relationships between MedUS recruiters and nurses. The nurse should be aware of everything going on on the recruiter’s end and vice versa.
What is the team culture like at Med US Healthcare?
Our team culture is extremely positive and close-knit. We see the importance in identifying strengths and weaknesses and creating a cooperative environment. This encourages productivity and positivity. Our top recruiter is remote. Even being remote, she manages to be a great leader to new, in-house recruiters keeping in contact with them and being knowledgeable and happily accessible.
How does the leadership at Med US Healthcare define success for the employees as well as success for the travelers?
MedUS Healthcare leadership creates a positive, goal driven environment for the employees to flourish and succeed in. A successful employee will embrace that, believe in our overall cause, and put forth the devotion to our travelers and the ambition needed to succeed in making our cause a successful one, both individually and as a team. Success for our travelers would be defined as much of the same. Travelers should believe in us as a company and know that we believe in them and what they do, and to approach it as an individual with a purpose to add value to the organization and individuals in which they provide their skillset to.
What are the hopes for your Wanderly partnership in 2020/2021? How can we continue to best support each other?
We are always searching for the best of the best nurses to provide assistance to. By connecting with Wanderly, we feel as if we are making a great choice in order to attain these great nurses. We also hope Wanderly benefits by being used as a partner in our efforts to recruit. We will give Wanderly feedback on their platform in return for a responsive team on Wanderly’s end. We see this partnership being very valuable in the end.
What myths about the travel healthcare industry would Med US Healthcare want to correct for someone considering taking an assignment?
Ultimately, this business is about creating relationships. It is a two way street. Relationships and trust are extremely important in this business to keep transparency and everything running smoothly. This is a people business. Trust, relationships, and transparency are critical to having success.

What are the plans for the future of Med US Healthcare? What is planned for 2020?
We are thinking extremely positively for 2020. MedUS Healthcare wants to make 2020 another outstanding year. We are expecting ongoing and exponential growth with our travel nursing business while giving additional attention to our allied and locum business. We want our processes to be completely seamless and easy for our clinical partners. To do this, we are trying to get ahead in the ongoing technology race in order to make onboarding easier for our travelers. We are also expanding to different areas to give nurses more variety on location this way our nurses have many options on where they are able to travel. We want a partnership with no hassle.
