To all of our Wanderly Nurses,
We have licensure changes that were announced this week and we want to provide them to you in a quick and easy to digest manner. We thank you for your commitment during this time to serve the patient population.
The National Public Emergency (NPE) was signed by President Trump, and this allows state governors to have the ability to sign an 1135 waiver that will allow their state to accept medical practitioners with licenses from other states if you have equivalent licensing in another State.
Basically, states that have declared a state of emergency can apply to the CMS for a state licensing waiver in order for you to practice there. The main goal is to increase telehealth providers with the last resort being to physically move medical personnel around.
This will allow “providers with an active license in good standing from any state to service patients in their state and be reimbursed for those services by Medicare and Medicaid”.
You are so valuable, and this extension is because we need you!
Despite whether you currently possess a single-state (non-compact) or multi-state (compact) license, you be fast-tracked through the state licensure process in any state that is included in the emergency area, which for now, is the entire United States.
Be sure to check out Wanderly for all of our COVID-19 specific jobs we have available. We have so many jobs opening up for rapid response, and we want you to have your choice. Thank you again for all of your healthcare services and commitment to quality patient care.
