Benefits of Travel Nursing – From a Travel Nurse

Nurse talk time: meet Tiffannie, she’s a seasoned travel nurse who recently finished a contract on the beautiful Central Coast of California.  She sat down with us for a minute to share benefits of travel nursing and why she loves it.

Wanderly: Benefits of Travel Nursing - From a Travel Nurse

Why do you love travel nursing?

“I’m not currently on an assignment, I took a month off to travel and will start back up in California at the end of January. One of the benefits of travel nursing is the freedom that travel nursing allows. I’m able to take lots of time off to travel which is the best part. I travel with my big chocolate lab Harley and we do lots of exploring together- hiking and camping. You gain invaluable experience being a traveler.

How many Units have you worked for?

I’ve worked on an observation unit, cardiac telemetry and ccu. Another of the benefits of travel nursing is you gain so much experience floating up other floors and learning how each hospital does things. You also make friends from all over the place.”

Thanks for sharing on nurse talk, Tiffannie! We hope you enjoyed your month off and wish you luck on your next contract. Thanks for being a part of Wanderly! Follow Tiffannie and all her travels on Instagram @sincerely_tiffannie
